17 million viewers visited Polish cinemas in the first four months of 2025. Thus, cinemas are keeping up the level of last year. In April, there were changes on the podium of the most-watched productions - “Minecraft: the Movie” jumped into the top spot.

For another year in a row, the attendance from January to April shows little seasonality and highlights the importance of titles described as “hits”. Last year we were positively surprised by March, thanks in part to the release and excellent performance of the second part of Dune II. In the first part of this year, April was the month with the sharp increase in attendance, mainly due to productions from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures.

The film adaptation of one of the most popular games gathered over 2.6 million viewers in Polish cinemas. Nearly one million people went to see the film already in its opening weekend, giving it an excellent start. The production stirred up a lot of emotion, with media reports describing the extremely enthusiastic and expressive behaviour of the audience during one of the key scenes. There is no denying that Minecraft is not only a game, but also an important part of the culture of the younger generation, and it has been a long time since there was a film that reached such a wide age group. Minecraft unites fans of all ages and it shows in the cinema 😊
